Target Group:

This Child Sexual Exploitation e-learning introduction module has been specifically designed for Health professionals and is a mandatory pre-requisite for anyone who wants to attend Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership’s, CSE face to face training or for anyone wishing to learn more about CSE as part of their role.

The course should take approximately 60 minutes to complete and has a pause facility, so you can go back and continue the module at any time. 

 Aim:

To highlight the warning signs and indicators of CSE.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognise the indicators and warning signs associated with CSE.
  • Understand the impact of CSE on the child and their family.
  • Understand the attitude of victims of CSE and strategies to engage with children at risk of exploitation.

 About the Keep Them Safe course

Thousands of children in the UK are at risk of being forced or manipulated into sexual activity in a form of abuse called child sexual exploitation. This abuse can happen to any child, anywhere. Knowing what to look for is an important way you can help to protect your children.

Parents Against Child Sexual Exploitation (Pace) and Virtual College have teamed up to provide this short (20 to 30 minutes) online course designed for parents and carers

This course will help you to:

  • Understand child sexual exploitation
  • Find out how to spot the signs
  • Know who to report any concerns to

This course will be of interest to those working with children but is NOT a replacement for CSE face to face training.
